Billy Ray was born on November 14, 1946, in Myrtle Beach, SC, son of the late Johnnie and Mary (Edge) Singleton. He grew up and attended schools in South Carolina. On April 8, 1970, he married the former Kristy L. Rahmlow at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Mishicot. Billy was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1964 until 1988. The family moved to Manitowoc in 1988 following his retirement from the U.S. Army. He retired in 2013 from Jagemann Stamping following a 20-year career. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife: Kristy Singleton, Manitowoc; five children and their families: Billy Ray (Terri) Singleton II, Dousman and their daughter: Emma; Jennifer (Derrek) Marquez, Winslow, AZ and their children: Evan, Rya and Kiernan; Lisa (Simon) Sparks, Manitowoc and their future child: Sparkler; Rosemary (John) Ketterer, Fond du Lac; and their daughter; Carrlee; Jonathan Singleton, Milan, IL; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Emily (Ray) Morgan, VA; Patricia (Benny) Young, SC; Debby (Al) Young, SC; mother-in-law; Shirley Rahmlow, Two Rivers; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: William (Connie) Rahmlow, Two Rivers; Carol (Darold) Wachholz, Mishicot; special family friends: Jim and Debbie Reis, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnnie and Mary Singleton; father-in-law: Glen Rahmlow.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Daniel R. Sims will officiate with cremation to follow.
