Dorothy Delane Harris Neal was born on November 11, 1924, in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, to the late Harmon Mallard and Mary Pearl Brassell Harris. She graduated from Frankston High School and attended Draugh’s Business School in Dallas. Mrs. Neal worked for SWEPCO for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Mrs. Neal moved to Carthage in 1996, from Frankston. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Neal is survived by two sons, Jerry Glenn Neal of Flint and Norman Jarrette Neal, Jr. of Frankston, brother Harmon M. “Sam” Harris, Jr. of Houston, three grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Jasper.
