Formerly of Saginaw.
Age 76, died April 1, 1999, at his home after a short illness.
Cremation has taken place and there was a memorial service April 7, 1999,
at First Baptist Church in Deming. He was born Jan. 22, 1923,
in Saginaw County to Fredrick and Clara Tester Shebester. He attended
Saginaw schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He
retired from Con Agra in Colorado in 1985, having started with the
former Wickes Agriculture in Saginaw. Shebester and his wife, Leatha,
left Saginaw in 1979. They lived in Colorado and traveled the country by
RV before settling in Deming in 1991. He enjoyed cooking and baking.
Shebester is survived by his wife of 56 years; one daughter,
Barbara (Aric) Shook of Arizona; one brother, Marvin (Nancy) Shebester of
North Carolina; one sister, Katie (Frank) Adamcik of Breckenridge;
four grandchildren, Cynthia (Larry) Brown of Colorado; Brian Cottle of Colorado;
Beth Ann Wenzel and Matthew Wenzel of Saginaw; four great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents,
were one brother, Charles Shebester; one sister, Leona Prince; a daughter,
Jacqueline. Donations may be made to:
