V. Clark Beaird, age 87, of Rockwall, TX, passed away October 17, 2016. He was born June 8, 1929, in Lufkin, TX, to Arthur Beaird and Ora Zell (Burnett) Beaird. Clark graduated from Lufkin High School and served his country proudly in the United States Navy for four years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Michigan. Clark later became CEO of The Wyatt Company (currently Towers Watson). A member of First Baptist Church in Rockwall, he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher and was instrumental in the founding of the Rockwall YMCA.
Clark is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Sandra Beaird; children: Pat Beaird and wife Colleen, John Beaird, Rob Beaird and wife Lou and Beth Carlisle and husband Eric; grandchildren: Morgan, Brooke, Rachel, Alex, Nick, Jake, Will, Lauren and Hannah; siblings: Elton Beaird and wife Belle, Joy Lancaster, Jo Ann Bain and husband Bill and Mike Beaird and wife Heidi; and sister-in-law: Claudette Beaird. He was preceded in death by his brother: Lynn Beaird.
