William J. Flora, Jr., passed away quietly November 22, 2016, from complications with cancer. Born May 18, 1932, he was 84. Bill grew up working on the family farm, and graduated from Lake Worth High in 1950. After time in the US Army and the University of Florida, Bill helped to manage the Fountains Department Stores expand throughout the Palm Beach County area. After an economic downturn forced the stores to close, Bill managed one of the area's most prestigious law firms until his retirement.

A private pilot, Bill was also enthusiastic about crafts like woodworking, and any activity outside. He was most at home working on his vacation home on Lake Nottely, in north Georgia. Bill felt blessed that he and Peg were able to travel throughout the US, and even to Europe and the Holy Land. Besides his family, he was most passionate about his church, the former First Baptist Church of Lake Worth. He served on several committees, and was a Chairman of the Deacons.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, December 17, at the Church by the Glades, 127 South M Street, Lake Worth at 11:00AM.
