Henry C. Lemaster, 78, of route 2, in the Point Section, died Wednesday morning at 7:45 a.m. at the home of his son, Herbert Lemaster, after an illness of 3 weeks. Mr. Lemaster, a farmer, had been a member of the United Baptist Church for 15 years. He was a son of James and Elizabeth Lemaster. Funeral services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Elizabeth Church on Maynard Branch near Clifford, conducted by Rev. Rush Frazier. Burial will be in the Maynard cemetery under the direction of Young Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wayne Maynard, of Clifford, prior to the funeral. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Rhoda Cook Lemaster, 2 daughters, Mrs. Charley Maynard, Clifford and Mrs. Wayne Maynard, Clifford, 3 sons, James Lemaster, Louisa, Daniel and Herbert Lemaster of route 2, Louisa, a sister, Mrs. G. N. Fairchild of route 2, and a brother, Manford Lemaster, route 2, Louisa, 49 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. - Obituary published in the Big Sandy News Jan. 15, 1948.
