Robert “Coach Bobby” Anderson, age 86, of Rowlett, TX, passed away November 5, 2016. He
was born August 5, 1930, in Midland to Walter Edwin Anderson and Anna T. (Murphy) Anderson. Bobby retired as a High School Football Coach and Teacher after 47 years of work all over north Texas. He was the author of “The Single-Wing Football with an End Over”, and was inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Lea Anderson of Rowlett; children: Richard and Barbara Cox, Alesia and Troy Cox, Don and Cindy Anderson, and Shari and Jeff Akin ; brother: Glen Anderson; sister: Marilyn Smith; 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild and the mother of his children: Lou Young Anderson. Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Chapel with Rev. David T. Reyes officiating.
