Note: There is no grave marker or burial record for Bartholomew here, but some of his children are here, and he and his wife are very likely here as well. There are plans to install a memorial marker for Bartholomew, his wife, and some other family members here.

Bartholomew was the son of John Heath and Frances Hutchins of Haverhill, Mass. He m. in Haverhill on 3 June 1736 Mary PIKE, the daughter of Hugh Pike and Hannah Emerson. She died on 1 or 11 October 1803, aged 88. Bartholomew and Mary lived in the part of Haverhill that became Plaistow, New Hampshire. Therefore, their earlier children were born in the former, and the rest in the latter, but it is doubtful they ever moved. Later in life they likely moved to Bow, NH where their surviving children lived and are buried. One of their sons and two of their daughters-in-law still have extant tombstones. Of their many children, only four appear to have married and had families. Children:

* Sarah, b. Haverhill 7 Feb 1736/7, d. Haverhill 24 Sep 1737

* Solomon, b. Haverhill 28 June 1738, d. Bow, Merrimack Co., NH 18 April 1822, m. Abiah CARLTON, b. Dec 1748, d. 3 May 1801, aged 52y 5m. Solomon and Abiah are buried in the Heath family cemetery in Bow.

* Laban, b. Haverhill 13 April 1740. A Laban Heath died in Plaistow, NH 28 Dec 1771.

* Simeon, b. Haverhill 8 May 1742, d. Plaistow 18 Dec 1746

* Hannah, b. Haverhill 15 April 1744, m. William PAGE, and lived in Dunbarton, NH

* Molly, b. Plaistow, NH 19 Oct 1746, d. Plaistow 15 July 1748

* Simeon, b. Plaistow 6 May 1749, d. Bow, NH 28 Mar 1833, m. in Plaistow 28 Oct 1772 Sarah Carleton, b. 7 April 1752, d. 21 Oct 1818, aged 66, said to be the daughter of Edward Carleton and Abiah Clement. He is likely the Simeon Heath who m. (2) 5 July 1819 at Bow, Betsy Carthane. Sarah has a surviving grave marker in the Heath family cemetery in Bow.

* Aaron, b. Plaistow 8 Oct 1751, and died there 27 Oct 1751.

* Ann (?) (twin), b. Plaistow 8 Oct 1751

* Samuel, b. Plaistow 3 Feb 1753, d. there 30 Oct 1754.

* Samuel, b. Plaistow 16 Nov 1755, d. (Sanbornton?) 15 July 1828. He may be the Samuel Heath who m. in Plaistow about 1776 Sarah WHITCHER (sometimes given as Whitaker). If so, then he m. (2) in Plaistow, "about 1784" Hannah CHENEY, b. Plaistow 31 May 1761, d. Plaistow 6 Jan 1811, the daughter of Dustin Cheney and Sarah Mount. Samuel was a Revolutionary War pensioner, but there are so many Samuel Heaths that I cannot determine what his record of service was.
