ROBERT GIVENS OF FALLS MILLS DIES
Passes In Local Hospital; Was Victim Of Typhoid Fever; Funeral Services Will Be Conducted Today
Robert Givens, 26, of Falls Mills, died Thursday morning at 3:30 at Bluefield Sanitarium of typhoid fever. He was brought to the sanitarium Wednesday at noon, in a critical condition. He was a son of Mrs. George Givens, of Falls Mills, who survives, with five sisters, Mrs. G.S. Perdue and Mrs. Marie Burkett, this city; Mrs. Vernon Burress and Mrs. Mannie Neff, Bluefield, Va., and Mrs. William Colden Warburton, Baltimore, Md., and one brother, Ballard Givens, of Falls Mills. He was born and reared at Falls Mills. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at Falls Mills Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Elmer W. Dean, assisted by the Rev. M.C. Hughes, Bluefield, Va. Interment will be made at Falls Mills. Pallbearers are: Frank Rye, Adam Tabor, Buddy Buckland, William Sturgiss, Freddie Yost and Carl Janutalo. Nieces of the deceased will act as flower bearers.
