Wayne was an A + mechanic. He worked at Barracks Road Exxon & Browns Auto & for himself & others. He loved building engines for his & others race cars. He was an avid fan for (Dem Boyz) Dallas Football Team, Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr./Nascar, Eastside Speedway & fishing. He also loved to play the role as Santa & was know by many as Santa.
He is survived by his wife Helen Arbutus Sprouse, daughter Mary Elizabeth Charlson (Chris). Grandsons Cody A. Sprouse, Jeremy S. Quick, Adam J. Quick(Katlynn). Mother Pauline B. Herring, Brothers Lewis (Jr.) Sprouse ( Virginia), Terry Herring (Pam), Jeffery Herring (Robin), David Herring (Emily), Kenneth Herring (Annette), Carl Herring (Caroline), Brian Herring(Renee). Sisters Peggy Tucker (Denny), Brenda Herring (Kenny), Phyllis Shifflett, Linda McDaniel (Mike), Karen Mawyer(Jay). Step sons Quinton Phillips Sr., Alfred Phillips Sr. (Mae) Grandsons his lil Buddy Alfred Phillips Jr., Wayne A Phillips ( Sharon), Granddaughter Leah D Phillips. & 7 Great Grandchildren. Many Nephews with A very special one Ray Knight. & many nieces, Uncles with a very special one Thomas ( Tommy ) Herring (Bertha), Many Aunts, with a very special Aunt Susan Cox (Randy) Many Cousins, & Many Friends.
He was predeceased by his Father Lewis J. Sprouse Sr., Step father Mason Herring, Maternal Grandparents James Sprouse(Ellen) , Paternal Grandparents Warrick Douglas Brown ( Susie ) Step Paternal grandparents Johnny B Herring (Phyllis) niece Tanyah Shifflett.
