Born 27 Oct 1634 in Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands.
He married 1st Mary MNU before 1660.

On 16 Oct 1649 Richard Stillwell's father, Nicholas, bought him the farm in Gravesend belonging to George Holmes, and on 20 Oct 1650, sold it again to Richard Clough and Thomas Doxy as proxies.
Capt. Richard Stillwell resided at Gravesend, Long Island, New York; and later on Staten Island, New York, where he was Magistrate, 1681-1682.
He witnessed the baptism of Lijsbeth Guion, daughter of Jaques Guion and Sara Casier, on 25 September 1681 at New Utrecht, Kings Co., Long Island, New York, (witnesses Richard Steelwel, Marie Steelwel).
On 21 June 1683 at Kings Co., Long Island, New York, Deposition of Jacques Cortelyou and Richard Stillwell that they have run the line betwixt the Towns of Breuckelen and Flatbush, "and marked the trees." Recorded by Pieter Smith, Clerck.
Inventory of estate taken on 12 February 1689 at Richmond Co., New York.
Capt. Richard Stillwell died in 1688.
Died about 1688 at about age 53 in Dover, Staten Island, Richmond County, New York. There is only one "Dover" in New York. Dover, Dutchess County, New York.
