Pamela Joanne Wolosz passed away January 10, 2017.

She was born March 28, 1964 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Pam graduated from Kenosha's Temper High School in 1983 and went to Purdue University under an Air Force ROTC scholarship.

She entered the United States Air Force after graduating in 1987. She later finished a master degree in engineering management from University of Anchorage Alaska.

Pam's military career lasted 20 years during which she performed a wide range of jobs. She worked testing and certifying aero-medical equipment, flew as a weapons officer and systems director on E-3 AWACS aircraft, and directed testing efforts for NATO aircraft undergoing modification.

She worked with congressional members on budgeting matters during her time at the Pentagon and finished out her career managing innovative front-line sensor systems. Her military career took her literally around the world from Texas to Oklahoma, Alaska, Germany, Washington DC, and Ohio. She retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Pam and her family moved to Oregon in 2015 to be closer to family and lead a more active outdoor lifestyle. Pam was an avid hiker who enjoyed exploring the trails near her home as well as other areas around Ashland. She fell in love with the Oregon coast of Bandon and enjoyed returning to that area.

Pam's post-military life was extremely full and active. She home schooled her son, Zeke through fifth grade, volunteered at numerous organizations, and mentored high school students interested in engineering or military careers.

Her daily life centered around her family and her interests in genealogy. She also ran a pet-sitting service for the Ashland area and had recently moved in to writing professionally.

Pam is survived by her mother, Joanne Klitgard Wolosz; her husband, James (Jim) Haswell Holmes; her daughter, Lydia Joanne Holmes; and her son, Ezekiel (Zeke) James Holmes, all of Ashland.

Her brother, Gregory Paul Wolosz resides in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Pam had stepsisters, Karyn Siegrist, of Durango, Colorado and Barbara Ellman, West Salem, Wis. Her stepbrother, Dennis Walosz resides in Foley, Alabama.

Pam was preceded in death by her father and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
