Former Perry Man Is Taken By Death
Coleman Palen, 56, a former resident of Perry, died Sunday night after a lingering illness at the Veteran's Hospital in Brecksville. Mr. Palen, whose home is in Sampsonville, N. Y. was a veteran of World War I and his illness is said to be caused by his military service.
He was married June 8, 1920, to the former Bessie Downing of Perry and is the son-in-law of Mrs. Eva Downing of N. Ridge Rd., Perry.
Survivors include his wife, a sister, Mrs. Fred Osterhoudt of Yonkers, N. Y. and a brother, Ernest Palen of Broadhead, N. Y.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the home of a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Frost, of N. Ridge Rd., with the Rev. A. R. Woodworth of the Perry Baptist Church officiating Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
