TRAVELERS REST CITIZEN IS DEAD.
G. Robert Carter, of Travelers Rest, died in Charlotte, north Carolina at 5:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He was visiting his daughter, Mrs. W. E. Johnson and was taken suddenly ill and lingered for two weeks. He was 63 years old.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, near Travelers Trest, of which he was a member and the body will be buried in the adjoining cemetery.
The deceased was the son of the late George and Margaret Carter, of Travelers Rest. He is survived by his widow, who before marriage, was miss Etta Kyle, of Walhalla; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence Ellison of Greenville; Mrs. E. M. Cason, Jr., of Atlanta, Mrs. W. E. Johnson of Charlotte, Mrs. Will Hunt of Dacusville and Miss Thora Carter of Travelers Rest; one son, R. Leonard Carter, of Travelers Rest, and five brothers, M. O. Carter, of Travelers Rest; E. A. Carter, of Atlanta; A. C. Carter, of Tallapoosa, Georgia, W. W. Carter of Columbiana, Alabama and m. W. Carter, of Seneca.

Gravesite Details

They had 9 children. One of their daughters, Alma, was my X-husband's Grandmother. George and Henrietta were his Great Grandparents.
