Remains of Former Lock Haven Lady Brought Here.
A telegram was received on Monday from Baltimore conveying the sad intelligence that Mrs. S. H. Blake, nee Miss Millie Evans, daughter of John G. Evans, formerly of this city, had died in a hospital in that city Sunday morning from the effects of an operation to which she had submitted. Mrs. Blake had been complaining for more than a year. She was 23 years old and is survived by her husband. Her father and mother have charge of the Brookville Memorial Home. In addition to her husband and parents, deceased is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Rev. G. W. and John, of Baltimore, and Mrs. John Hoover, of Lock Haven. She was a graduate of the high school and the Normal, this city. She was a young lady highly esteemed for her many sweet traits. The remains arrived in this city on Tuesday afternoon on the 3:45 o’clock train, and were taken to Trinity M. E. Church, where Rev. Dr. M. K., Foster conducted the services.
