Services for Mrs. Switzer L. Lorraine, 78, the former Anna Mae "Ma" Comeaux, will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Arnaud officiating. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will take place Sunday from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday with a 7 p.m. rosary.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lorraine died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, at Lafayette General Medical Center."Ma" was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was a member of VFW Post 1982 Ladies Auxillary, the Widows Club and Charlottes Club. She enjoyed working and playing VFW bingo, as well as crocheting, and playing pokeno and booree with family and friends.

Mrs. Lorraine is survived by her son, Herneady Lorraine and his wife Rosie of Beaumont; four daughters, Geraldine Buteaux and her husband Louis of Cypermort Point, Carol Thibodeaux and her husband, John B., Sandra Bodin and her husband Terry, and Tammy Picard and her fianc? John Tilbury, all of New Iberia; two brothers, Alton and Kelly Comeaux of New Iberia; six sisters, Leola Delahoussaye and Clara Bergeron of New Iberia, Romonia Plaisance of Lockport, Virginia Ronsonet of Baldwin, Melba Logue of Sulphur and Janell Abshire of Erath; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Switzer L. Lorraine; her parents, Eno and Sophia LeBlanc Comeaux; a brother, Maxie Comeaux; a sister, Marleen Riles; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Chelsey Perez.

Pallbearers will be Tyson Bodin, Shane Savoy, Corey Picard, Michael Lorraine, Louis Buteaux Jr. and Jared Lorraine. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas and Chris Picard, Jonas, Rod and Todd Buteaux, Spence Savoy and Trent and Terry Bodin Jr.

Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
