JOHN MUELLER

John Henry (Joachim) Mueller, 96
, formerly of 2303 14th St., Two Rivers, one of the oldest residents of the county, died Friday afternoon at Fair Hill Nursing Home, Rosecrans, where he had been a patient the past five years.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers and at 2 pm at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. W.G. Haase officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mr. Mueller was born Oct. 13, 1862 in Germany, where nearly 75 years ago he married Dorothea Tegen. The family immigrated to this country in 1889 settling in Two Rivers' south side where he had been a resident until his confinement at the nursing home. His wife died in 1899 and in 1900 he married Miss Minnie Schmoock in Two Rivers. She died in 1927. In 1930 he married Mrs. Amelia Thiele who died in 1950.

Mr. Mueller was one of the early employees of the Mann Brothers Pail Factory in Two Rivers. For many years later until his retirement 26 years ago, he was employed as a watchman for the Two Rivers properties of the Lakeside
Packing Co., orginally operated by the late E.J. Vaudreuil.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Loeser and Mrs. Elwood Ahrens of Two Rivers; four step-daughters, Mrs. john Nigg of Chicago, Mrs. Ray Heldt and Mrs. Emma Martin of Two Rivers and Mrs. George Panger of Sturgeon Bay; three sons, William Sr., and Henry of Two Rivers and Walter of Los Gatos, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Sunday.
