From Der Nord Westen, 07 Jan. 1904: (From the correspondent in Two Rivers, 04 Jan.)
The funeral of Mrs. R.E. Mueller took place here yesterday. Mrs. Mueller was a widow whose late husband, ex-mayor Richard E. Mueller, proprietor of the local brewery, died several years ago.
She was born the daughter of the late Manitowoc resident Carl Holzknecht on 11 Apr. 1844, in Amorbach, Bavaria.
She is survived by 3 children, sons Charles and Eduard who still run their father's brewery, and a daughter. Mrs. Mueller was a highly respected lady in this community and her funeral was attended by an extraordinary number of mourners in the cortege from the Catholic Church.
