Charles L Rutledge, 68, a retired railroader, was found dead a 7 a.m.today at his home at 1362 Monroe Street by a daughter with whom he lived. Death was apparently due to natural causes. Funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Kimber and West Chapel, where friends may call Thursday evening. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Rutledge was born Sept. 19, 1897, in Fulton County and had lived in Galesburg 38 years. He was married at Kahoka, Mo. to Vada Pearl Shelton, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Alpha Lodge 156, AF & AM, and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are four sons, Rex W., David M. and Robert D. of Rockford; two daughters, Mrs Alan Agans of Cameron and Miss Vicki Sue Rutledge,at home; three brothers, Claude of Adair, George of Good hope and Ira of Onarga; 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
