He was born in Rockwood, Oregon, on August 29, 1907 to Willard and Martha Cook. He worked at many jobs during his lifetime but mainly worked as a ranch hand.
Surviving are one daughter, Frances Cook of Canby; a step-son, Robert Kiser of Portland; a step-daughter, Florence Kiser of Portland; a sister, Eva Child of Portland; and one grandchild.
Private interment was held at the Douglas Cemetery at Troutdale. Memorial services were held April 26 at the St. David's Episcopal Church in Portland.
