Gerald “Jerry” Ford of Littlestown PA passed away peacefully July 23 at his home. Jerry was very nomadic having lived in PA, NY, WV, Fl, MD and eventually back to PA.

He was born in Dubois, PA on September 5, 1949. He was the son of the late Leo “Hank” and Marion Ford. Gerald married Patti McDonald Ford May 18, 1996.

Jerry enjoyed traveling to historical battlefields and landmarks. He also enjoyed touring presidential homes. He had traveled to all 50 States. His favorite destination was Custer’s Battlefield. He enjoyed old movies, particularly westerns.

His greatest joys were his children and grandchildren on whom he doted as frequently as possible. Jerry had a zest for life like no other. He will be greatly missed.

Jerry graduated from Dubois Area High School and attended Shepherd University. He was the former owner and operator of Cardiopulmonary Services and Home Health Specialties in Martinsburg, WV. He was a former member of the Sertoma Club, a former member of the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Lung Association, a long time member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, both in Florida and Maryland. He was previously a volunteer driver for the VA Medical Center via the American Legion FSK Post 11 in Frederick MD. He also drove for Homewood at Crumland Farms Assisted Living facility in Frederick, MD.

He is survived by his wife and three children, Becky May and husband Chris, Aaron Ford and wife Rosa and Nikki Acre and husband Jared. Grandchildren, Philip Ford, Henry May, Stanford May, Abigail Ford, Ava Driggers, Lyla Driggers, Elizabeth Ford and great granddaughter Violet Ford. He is also survived by 11 siblings, Leah Green and husband Jack, Larry Ford, Ron Ford and wife Kathy, Charlie Ford and wife Debbie, Marcia Nastase and husband Sam, Terry “Turk” Ford and wife Eileen, Carol Ford, Tom Ford and wife Holly, Pat Ford and wife Susan, Dave Ford and wife Wanda and Kathy Reilly and husband Ed. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, mother in law Geraldine “Gerry” McDonald, sister in law Sue Kabbourim, special friends and travel buddies Rich and Eva English and his first wife and mother of his Children Lindsay Ford.

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday July 27, 2015 at 10 A.M. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 29 South Queen St, Littlestown with the Rev. James Sterner celebrant. Repast will be at his home following mass. Burial will be private at a later date. There will be no viewing.
