Larry Lee Barrett, age 63 of Garland, TX, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 in Carrollton, TX. He was born June 1, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, TX, to Jack & Daisy Mae (Brown) Barrett. Larry married Linda Diane Boyd on September 15, 1972. He enjoyed sports, especially the Texas Rangers, Aggie football and golf. Larry was the parking lot greeter for the past ten years at First United Methodist Church of Rowlett, where he was a member.
He is survived by his loving wife: Linda Barrett of Garland, TX; daughter: Kelli Barrett & Danny Ramirez of Plano, TX; son: Kris Barrett & wife Sarah of Springfield, IL; brother: Kenneth Barrett of Sulphur Springs, TX; and grandchildren: Madelynn Brielle Barrett, Aidann Genevieve Barrett, Cole Alvin Lee Ramirez and Liam “Bubba” Daniel Ramirez. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 4405 Main St, Rowlett, TX, with Rev. Jan Davis officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church for the Youth Building Fund.
