Stephen J. Konecny, 36, of Portland Point, died in Memorial Hospital.

He was a a veteran of WWII and a member of Post 961, V.F.W

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Konecny of Portland Point; a son, Raymond J. Konecny, of Portland Point; five sisters, Mrs. Harry Kovac, Binghamton, Mrs. Mary Mikula, Ithaca RD 1; Mrs. John Millick, Mrs. John Wagner and Mrs. Joseph Lacko of South Lansing; two brothers, Joseph J. Konecny of South Lansing and Rudolph V. Konecny of Ludlowville.

Funeral services were held at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Wagner, South Lansing. A High Mass of Requiem was sung in All Saints Church, Myers. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.

Bearers were: Paul Lacko, Albert Lacko, Sgt. William Ravas, Abe Norman, Anthony Philip and John Milkula. Military services were conducted by the V.F.W. at Calvary Cemetery.
