Newport, NH - Mrs. Esther A. duBois, 98, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at The Seasons at Summercrest where she had been a resident for the past five years.
She was formerly of Baltimore, MD, went to Aiken, SC in 1978 with her husband, Col. Maurice D. duBois, who died in 2000 and moved to NH 15 years ago. Both were members of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken.
Mrs. duBois graduated from Forest Park High School, followed by her attendance at Eaton Barnett Business College in Baltimore, MD. On graduation, she served with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Baltimore City Police Department and the Main Post Office in Baltimore, MD. In the interim, she was a homemaker. Interment will be at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendye DiSalvo of North Sutton, NH; four grandsons, Mark, Matthew, Michael and Christopher; six great grandchildren; a stepson, Maurice R. duBois and a stepdaughter, Margaret E. duBois.
A service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH.
