I am making a guess that the linked John C. Norton was the husband of this Susan Norton. Susan (Ostrander) Norton was married to John Chapin Norton. He was born in 1836, rather than 1846 as is on his headstone. John Chapin Norton died between 1907-1910. By 1910, Susan was a widow living in El Monte, Los Angeles County. I cannot find a death record for John Norton in California during that time frame or 1909 specifically. If anyone has additional information, please let me know so I can complete or correct the memorial information.
