David Alfred Anderson, age 65, of Barron passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Marshfield, WI. He was born March 23, 1951 in Rice Lake to Edgar and Dorothy (Handel) Anderson. David attended school in Barron, graduating in 1969. He married Sheila Anderson on March 17, 1984 at The Little Brown Church in Nashau, Iowa. David worked several years at the feed mill in Barron before owning and operating Sno Flake Food Sales in Menomonie, WI. He retired due to poor health and returned to Barron in 2005. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending numerous hours at his cabin watching the deer and wildlife. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others, his great sense of humor and his love of his family. He will be greatly missed by many. David is survived by his wife Sheila Anderson of Barron, sons Chris (Tracey) Anderson of Prosser, WA and Cory (Jill) Anderson of Prairie Farm, grandchildren Emily, Dalton, Ethan, Kellen and Alex, parents Edgar and Dorothy Anderson of Barron, brothers Daniel Anderson of Barron, Jerry Anderson of LaCrosse, sisters Judy (Jerry) Erickson of Cameron and Sue (Richard) Lentz of Dallas, brother-in-law Jeff Anderson of Rice Lake, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Steven and nephews Trevor Lentz and Kevin Anderson. A celebration of David’s life will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron with Rev. Kurt Jacobson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday morning. Lunch will be served at Rolling Oaks Restaurant in Barron following the services.
