Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Barr and Mary F. (Price) Barr.
He is survived by his wife, Maryann Duncan Barr, Greenwood; brother, James W. Barr II and wife Ellen, Fort Wayne, IN; son, Adam Barr and wife Cathy, Whiteland, IN; daughter, Angela Brown and husband Jeff, Bellbrook, OH; son, Stephen Barr and wife Kimberly, Hilliard, OH; and son, Wesley Barr and wife Shimul, Ventura, CA; grandchildren, Joseph, Viktoria and Alexis Barr, Rowan and Lydia Brown, Asher, Henry and William Barr, and Montgomery Barr; and his beloved kitties.
Mr. Barr was a Purdue University alumnus, owner of a custom residential/commercial construction company, and served in the Army National Guard achieving the rank of first lieutenant.
He was an accomplished carpenter and could fix almost anything. He also enjoyed cooking for his family.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him well. Funeral mass will be held at St. Jude Church, Helenwood, at 11:00 am, Feb. 3.
Burial and graveside service will follow at the Duncan Cemetery, Huntsville.
