Mary Louise Overstreet, age 91, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab, while surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born on July 23, 1925 in Lynnville, Tennessee to James Wilson Angus and Mary Elizabeth Grant Angus. She was married to Rufus Wiley Overstreet for 65 years and 2 months until his passing on August 14, 2008. Everyone who knew and loved Louise, called her “Ma”. She was a devoted Christian who loved her family, quilting and sewing. She was the undisputed #1, best cook ever! She was a charter member of Ebenezer Community Church and was a dedicated and wonderful Bible School teacher.

Ma is survived by her children: Rufus Wayne (Sherry) Overstreet of Mt. Pleasant, Nelda (Paul) Riggins of Culleoka, Jennie Heflin of Ethridge, Kathy Overstreet of Shelbyville, Shirley (David) Ferguson of Butler, PA and Glenn (Teresa) Overstreet of Columbia; grandchildren: Anthony (Joyce) Howell, Charles Howell, Randy (Candice) Howell, Wendell (Jenny) Holder, Kim Runions, Timmy (Karyn) Overstreet, Mark Overstreet, Bobby Joe Overstreet, Carol (Cory) Blankenship, Michael (Kelley) Boshers, Bradley Boshers, Kevin (Katie) Boshers, Lori McFarland, Greg (Melinda) Sanders, Robert Overstreet, Tracy Ferguson, Davy Ferguson, Melissa Ferguson, Christy (Justin) Hunter, Jason (Kalyn) Overstreet, Casey Pilkinton; 47 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Frank (Faye) Angus, Judy (Harry) Locke, Nancy Wright, Bryant (Nora) Angus, Marie (Gilmore) Tarpley, Missy Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece: Beverly Douvier. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter: Peggy Overstreet; siblings: Charles Angus, James Elmer Angus, Robert Lee Angus and Norice Black; grandson: Kevin White; great-grandchildren: Beverly Orban and Cody Howell.

Funeral services for Ma Overstreet will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, February 1 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as flower bearers.
