This is my Father.. He was at Pearl Harbor in the Attack on Dec 7, 1941. His ship, USS Downes was in dry doc with USS Cassin and USS Penn. The next day he was asigned to the USS MCCall for active duty.. He was on many other Battle ships in this war with Japan.. He was also take hostage but got away.. He died from lung cancer from Asbestes as they used it freely on the ships to keep them from catching fire..

Married Thelma Jean Sweet in 1953 San Francisco Cal.
