Rhonda Marie Bauwens Rhonda Marie Bauwens, after her struggle with cancer, passed away quietly on September 16, 2016, at her home in Middletown, CA, with the support of her friend of 16 years, Harley Christopherson. Born December 2, 1952, in Willmar, MN, she leaves behind two sons, Leo Thomas Steffl, of Miltona, MN, and Jarod Baumgardner of Tualatin, OR. Rhonda is the beloved sister of Vincent L. Bauwens of Texas, Bradley E. Bauwens (deceased) and Debra J. McQuarrie of Nevada. She is the daughter of Ellen Marie and Rudolf Felix Bauwens (both deceased). She will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Some of her favorite loves were her horse "Thunder", being a Blue Ribbon winner of the "Rough Riders Assoc.", and nature in general.
