Obituary from Vernal Express (Vernal, UT) - Thursday, October 24, 1957:
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in Vernal Second Ward Chapel for Mrs. Gertrude Arnold Hall, 78, who died Monday at 10 a.m. of natural causes at the Idlewilde Rest Home. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Hall was born March 7, 1879 at Bear Lake, a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Smith Arnold.
She moved to Vernal as a young girl with her parents and the family settled at Jensen.
She was married to James Fielding McKnight in 1905 in Vernal. The couple had five children, three of whom are living. Mr. McKnight, operated the Uintah Livery Stable, the Uintah Saloon and at one time was sheriff of Brown's Park. Mr. McKnight died April 30, 1923.
Mrs. McKnight married Mark Bennion Hall all in February 1937.
