VISTA - James Beckwith, 94, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, in Vista.
Born May 26, 1912, in Burlington, Vt. he lived in Vista for 40 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a colonel in 1967. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the Masons and a Scottish Rite member.
Mr. Beckwith was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Beckwith. He is survived by his daughter Margaret King of Santa Rosa; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. today, May 3, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside on Friday, May 4, at a time to be determined.
