Jimmy Anders Rites Held in Pasadena
Funeral services were conducted in the Memorial Baptist Church at 3 PM Tuesday for James Ernest Anders, 15, who was fatally injured Sunday afternoon near San Marcos.
Young Anders was thrown from the rear seat and through an open front window of a car following a rear-end collision with a pick-up truck on a 50-foot bridge.
Rev. H. D. Hale officiated at the last rites, with interment following in Forest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Al Hollingsworth, Billy Costa, Frank Schofner, Jack Creel, Van Harrington and Jery Witte, friends Jimmy made while serving as batboy for the Houston Buffs for several years.
Survivors include the parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.T. Anders, 438 Winona Drive; a brother, Jack; and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Dale Nutt of Sheridan, Arkansas.
