Bob Ross, 80, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 2, 2017, peacefully in the comfort of his home. He left a legacy of love behind.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Brother Travis Welsh will be officiating. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Sanger Cemetery.
Bob was born Aug. 30, 1936, in Mexico, Missouri, to Nolan and Helen Willis Ross. He was an active member of Decatur Ave Baptist Church and dedicated his life to spreading the love of Jesus with whomever he met. His contagious laugh and smile will be missed by the many lives he touched.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Ross, his parents, Nolan Ross and Helen May, and his sister, Candy Brar.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Kirchhoff), of 63 years; son, Allan Ross, and his wife, Robyn; daughter, Kathy Buel, and her husband, Gerald; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; niece, Mary Ellen Rice Drzewucki; and nephew, Douglas Allan Rice, Sr.
Ryland Edward Ross changed his name to Robert Edward Ross in Texas.
