Born in North Carolina, she was a retired office clerk. A member of Kempsville Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class, she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 75.
She was loved and will be sadly missed by her son, Michael G. McGinnis and wife, Rita, of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren, David and Michelle.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Michael T. Turner. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
