Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Ernest Abernathy and siblings Opal Sarro (Joe) and Kathryn Franck (Ross). She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, her daughter, grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Atlanta and attended Roosevelt High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church Snellville. Graveside service at Eternal Hills Memory Garden, Snellville, GA.
