LILESVILLE, N.C. — Mrs. Linda Skipper Goodwin, 74, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park in Rockingham.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter.
Linda was born Dec. 22, 1942 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late James Fletcher Skipper and the late Virginia Mae Cherry Skipper Eaddy. She retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Paul Dove of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Timothy Goodwin of Wadesboro, Matt Johnson of Monroe and Kris Goodwin of Fayetteville; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Maston Paul of Belowit, Wisconsin, Gail and Tommy Smith of Rockingham; her brothers and sisters-in-law, James "Dicky" and Betty Skipper of Rockingham, Danny Skipper of Hamlet and Aaron and Rhonda Skipper of Charlotte; and her sister in Christ, Gladys Wright of Lilesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Neal Goodwin Jr. and her sons, Steven Douglas Goodwin and Christopher Neal Goodwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US-1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
