Alice Jordan
Alice Jordan, 90, of Clatskanie, died Dec. 29, 1995, in a local care center.
Mrs. Jordan was born May 8, 1905, in New Holland, S.D., the daughter of Art and Dena (Tesslink) Bergakker.
She and Marion Charles Jordan were married Aug. 22, 1921, in Armour, S.D. Mrs. Jordan was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the Mayger-Downing Community Church of Clatskanie.
She is survived by six daughters, . . . ; three sons, . . . ; one sister, Ann BanGindern of Aurora City, S.D., 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Jordan, on Oct. 23, 1987; two daughters, Darlene and Doris Jordan; and one son, Jerry Jordan.
Friends may call to pay their respects from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Maakinson-Grouix Mortuary Chapel, 225 S.E. Third St., Clatskanie.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mayger-Downing Community Church with the Rev. John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Mayger Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mayger-Downing Community Church Memorial Fund, 80071 Life Lane, Clatskanie, Ore. 97016.
