Pita C. Taylor was born October 27, 1976, at Harrison Ark. He came to the Fort Griffin area in 1899, where he spent the rest of his life ranching in Shackelford and Stephens Counties. He was one of the best known ranchers in this area and had been employed by some of the large ranches in this are.
He moved to Breckenridge in 1939, where he has lived since.
