Mrs. Alma Lee Towns, age 90 of Unionville, Tennessee died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Towns was a native of Dekalb County and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Roy Stroud and Novella Stroud. Mrs. Towns was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Towns in 1998.
Funeral services for Mrs. Towns will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from Gowen-Smith Chapel. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mrs. Towns is survived by a brother: Robert (Buddy) Towns of Iowa; a grandson: Raymond Towns, Jr. of Unionville; a grand-daughter, Dolly Batson of Unionville; 8 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Towns,Sr.
