Betty Lois Rudolph Tikalsky
1925 - 2017

Early Life: Betty was born April 12, 1925, at her home on 24th Street in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Walter C. and Flora Klingbiel Rudolph. Betty grew up in Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1943. She attended Holy Family Nursing School.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On June 25, 1946, Betty married Paul Michael Tikalsky Sr. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He was the love of her life throughout their storybook marriage of almost 70 years. They were blessed with two children that survived infancy: Katherine Ann Ahrens and Paul M. Tikalsky Jr. She was a wonderful mother whose life was devoted to her family. After their conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Betty, Paul and their children were sealed for time and all eternity in the Washington DC Temple on February 25, 1977. Betty provided a beautiful loving home for the family through their many moves to support her husband's career. From Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Wyoming, Utah and Guam, she created a place of peace and beauty. She worked in the retail business in various different capacities. She was an accomplished artist and received accolades in her community and among her family and friends. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, using her skills to bless the lives of others. When she and Paul retired to Manitowoc, they enjoyed being "home" after a 40 year absence. Getting together with members of her high school graduating class, being a "greeter" at the Car Ferry and painting scenes of the lake shore and Manitowoc lighthouse gave her great pleasure. Betty Lois Rudolph Tikalsky died Monday, February 6, 2017, at the Mission at Alpine Valley Care Center, Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was 91.
Survived By: A daughter, Katherine (Ronald D. Ahrens), a son, Paul M. Tikalsky, Sr. (Deborah Nyborg); nine grandchildren: Ronald Z. (Jennifer) Ahrens, Jennifer (Dan) Duersch, Kristen (John) Schlesser, Bryan (Emilee) Tikalsky, M. David (Laura) Tikalsky, Lori (Paul) Sheets, 2nd Lt.
