Growing Old

My mind runs gently through the trees

The leaves swing and play in the breeze

Colors of red, yellow, green and gold.

Tell me my life is growing old

Soon I will fall like the leaves

I just hope in a gentle breeze

I see the snow covered mountains so tall

The glaciers great and small

Deer, antelope and elk at play

I wish that I could stay

To see my children grown

With children of their own

Who knows what my fate will be

I hope its heaven for eternity

And now my mind comes back home

Its had a very nice place to roam

The snow covered mountains, I may never see

Or the glaciers great and small

But if I live long enough to see

My children and grandchildren grown

And then go to heaven it will be better than

seeing it all.
