Hastings resident Miriam E. (Elley) Fowler-Tatem, 79, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard, NE.
Memorial gathering will be from 1:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the South Pine Community Room (South Pine & Wayfair, Hastings, Nebraska.) In honor of her wish to be cremated there is no viewing or visitation. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service is handling arrangements.

Miriam E. Tatem was born July 20, 1937 in Farnam, Nebraska the daughter of Guy and Olive (Loshbaugh) Elley. She graduated from Maywood High School with the class of 1954. Miriam was an Optician in Hastings and Colorado. She was a Rebekah. Miriam enjoyed crafting, antiquing, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Miriam is survived by her children, Danni Martin of Colorado Springs, CO, Beth (Sam) Morran of Harvard, NE, and Shona (Dave) Schwartz of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, David, Matthew, Brian, and Thomas; nine great grandchildren, Aubrey, Grant, Hayleigh, Cain, Haley, Brody, Aria, Drake, and Decker; sister, Dee (Bill) Tackwell of Hastings, NE; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, David Fowler; two brothers, Bill Elley and Roger Elley
