He was born on February 19, 1916 in Montgomery, Alabama and he lived in the local area of Montclair for 50 years.
He was a Boilermaker with the local 92 and he retired in 1977. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and was a Veteran and a lifetime member of VFW Post 11135.
He enjoyed fishing, swapmeeting, gardening and his grandchildren.
James will always be remembered as a loving, devoted father, father-in-law, grand father, papa and friend to all.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Helen Beal and Sue Sims; step-children, Carol Klusmann and JoDee Ulrich; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by A. Lois Nolan and Betty Jane Nolan.
