Koch, Lois T. nee Taylor, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Lois, the youngest daughter of Artie and wife Madora, nee Harriman, Taylor, was born May 8, 1925, in Bonne Terre, MO. She received her education from Bonne Terre High School, Junior College of Flat River, and graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in 1951. After graduation she was employed by Union Electric (Ameren Missouri) for 34 years before retiring. Lois was an active member in the Home Economists in Home & Community, dedicated volunteer at Gettemeier House, and a parishioner of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic Church. Lois is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends who love her. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Artie & Madora Taylor; her older sister, Alice Irene Taylor; and her husband of 34 years, Henry F. Koch. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 10am-12pm with a 12:00pm service immediately following at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Rd., Florissant, MO. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Florissant, MO.
Memorial donations may be made in Lois Koch’s name to Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO, or TEAM Food Pantry at 265 St. Catherine, Florissant, MO 63031.
