Tamra attended Pendleton Heights High School and graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in 1976.
Tamra worked as a systems analyst for Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee before retiring. She was also a volunteer for Nashville Public Library System and other organizations throughout her lifetime.
Tamra's greatest joy in life was spending time with all of her nieces and nephews and was dearly loved by them.
Tamra is survived by her two sisters, Kimberli Rhodus, of Anderson and Lisa (Gary) Crawley, of Yankeetown, Florida; two brothers, Jeffrey (Heather) James, of Valparaiso and Jason (Kim) Nipper, of Anderson; mother-in-law, Leeota Baker, of Anderson; three sisters-in-law, Martha (Doug) Mullins, of Celina, Tennessee, Brenda (Mike) Reimer, of Carmel and Cheryl (Chris) Taulman, of Pendleton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews. She is also survived by several close friends from Markleville, Pendleton, Nashville, Tennessee and Lakeland, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Douglas E. Baker, who passed away Nov. 2, 2016; mother, Carolyn Sue Manis; and father, Fredric Joseph James.
Tamra's siblings would like to express their gratitude to the entire Baker family who have shown compassion, loyalty and love to Tamra and her entire family for many years.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2017, 4 to 6 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson.
Services will be Monday, February 13, 2017, 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Lance Stevens officiating.
Cremation will take place and burial at a later date in Anderson Memorial Park.
