A deeply spiritual person, Mr. Bacon was a longtime member of Holy Family parish in Newark, and was instrumental in establishing the Holy Angels Athletic Association, also in Newark.

A talented woodworker, he greatly enjoyed working on many types of handyman "projects," and took pride in gardening around his home.

He was an avid outdoorsman and camper throughout his life.

Most of all, Mr. Bacon will be remembered as a caring and devoted family man who delighted especially in attending his beloved grandchildren's sports and school activities.
