William "Bill" George Hales

Bill was born in Salt Lake City to Mark Stoddard Hales and Cleo Vera Hales. He was the fifth child born to them. He served in the Army for three years. He spent time in Thailand during the Vietnam War, building roads. Bill retired from Qwest after 38 years in 2008.

He married Teresa Hulse in 1971. They had two sons and one daughter. Bill loved hunting, fishing, golfing, camping and traveling to Mexico with his beloved wife.

Bill is survived by his wife, three children: Scott (Melissa) Hales, Mark (Ronnie) Hales, and Jennifer (Trent) Didericksen and 11 amazing grandchildren, two great grandchildren; which Bill absolutely adored. Bill will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Dean and David.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 5 to 9 pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Cremation will follow the viewing.
