Ruby Celeste Haase Montague, age 79, resident of Somerville and wife of Curry W. Montague, departed this life Monday afternoon, February 13, 2017 at her residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Montague will be conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will be in the Somerville City Cemetery. A visitation for Mrs. Montague will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Montague was born November 20, 1937 in Whiteville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Haase and Lillian Dollar Haase. She received her education in the Hardeman County School System and was married to Curry W. Montague. She was a member of the Somerville Church of Christ and she enjoyed preparing food and flowers. Mrs. Montague will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dell Sublet and Geneva Taylor and her brother, Murrel Haase.
