“Echoes From The Past, A History of Arborfield and District” published by the Arborfield History Book Committee in 1981 specifies that Anne's maiden name was Turnbull and she was from Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

However further research seems to prove this wrong. Alfred and Annie married in Three-Mile Cross near Reading, Berkshire, England and Annie has been found born in Whitchurch Hampshire, England a few miles south and West of Three-Mile Cross.

Her father Robert Scott Telfer was from Ireland and her Mother Elizabeth from Scotland. She had the middle name of 'Graham'.

One of her brothers was David Cunningham Telfer https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=138619677
